Overview

Super Delicious, Super Nutritious, Super Yogurt.

NUTMEG AND HIVE was created to address the need for healthy indulgence among health-conscious young professionals. Launched in January 2016, the Super Yogurts are made with carefully selected 100% natural ingredients that are nutritionally powerful and absolutely delicious. Made with probiotic strained yogurt, coldpressed whole fruit and blossom honey, they are packed with 10g of protein, 245mg of omega-3 and are full of essential vitamins and minerals including vitamin A, B12, C, calcium and potassium. No additives, no preservatives, no flavourings, no colourings… and no processed sugars!

NUTMEG AND HIVE is the first mover in the healthy indulgence sub-category and has gained listings in important brand equity building customers like Harrods, Selfridges, Sourced Market, the Natural Kitchen, Villandry, As Nature Intended and many offices like Google, Freshfields, Merrill Lynch among others. These reference accounts play an important role in developing the brand and providing credibility for future staged roll-out to the broader market.

There are a series of technological, process and investment hurdles that makes it difficult for existing competitors to replicate and very expensive for entrepreneurs to start. Furthermore the large existing players lack the DNA to build brands at a grass-roots level. Ultimately, like many large multinationals around the world, they have learned that it’s more effective to buy rather than build.
